Finally

We have all been waiting for MAC's graduation from college (nursing!). Finally, the long wait is over. She graduated last April 18 and what made it more special was that MAL came home for a month long vacation. Attached picture is from our happy happy party! My hubby is not with us since he was the one who took this shot :).

Congratulations my darling sister :). Next stop: pass your board exam :). Still a long way to go, but getting there. have faith!

Singapore Budget Terminal

:) I have been in Singapore since Monday for a business trip. I had to take the Cebu Pacific flight at 830pm last Sunday since we just got back from Baguio, Sunday afternoon to attend MAC's graduation last Friday.

It has been a busy week and I can't wait to be home! I am waiting to board my flight at the Budget Terminal of Singapore Airport ;). Yeah yeah, I did not get the chance to see SG's Terminal 3 since Cebu Pacific flights board at the Budget Terminal. I still have a few hours to wait, my flight leaves at 1240am. Hopefully, my flight today leaves on time.

Goodnight everyone :). Can't wait to be back home in Manila :).

Trisha

I just wanted to share these photos of Trisha. She looks so much like MS, except for the eyes :).

Ways to Reduce Stress: 1. Pray

So true. Praying is so relaxing for me. It gives me that peaceful feeling that there is no reason for me to be stressed out because Someone out there is looking after me. I pray at any time of the day, I do not schedule it. Yes, I pray when I wake up in the morning and just before I go to sleep. But I also say my prayers at any time of the day. I thank the Lord for anything that I should be grateful for.

I thank Him now specifically for keeping my sister MAL safe on her way home from Dubai. For guiding her in finding a job that she's happy with and paying her well. For helping her find long time friends that she could be with when she's in Dubai. For keeping her healthy while she is away from us. When my family is happy, I am happy. So that's less stress in my life :). Thank you Lord :).

I also thank Him for my other sister MAC. She is graduating from College with good grades and good records. She has good plans for her future. And of course having her finish college is also a great accomplishment for Mom, who raised us single handedly over the years (but of course, thanks Dad for the good genes).

There are so many things to be thankful for. Each day, I always say thank you Lord for a good and loving husband in MS. Thank you Lord for my beautiful-beautiful daughter. Thank you Lord for my family! I have a very strong support system in them. That definitely takes out so much stress in my life :).

Hello World!

I am too lazy to blog :). Just wanted to post a note and let the world know that I am still here.

March 11, 2008

thinner then..

I was just browsing through my Friendster pictures and I noticed that my face was thinner when I was pregnant (the picture I posted was 2 wks prior to my delivery)! I was at my best weight just before my pregnancy and I actually gained more weight post pregnancy, I think because I thought eating more would be better for my breastfeeding Trisha. I should have eaten healthy instead!

Now, I am having a very difficult time shedding off weight! So depressing!

my pretty little girl

just wanted to share this nice shot of my pretty trisha :).

2008 Birthday Greetings

I promised myself I would save all my Birthday Greetings this year. But because I always make it a point to clean out my Inbox, I just took a picture of the list of the people who remembered to greet me on my special day. Just to say thanks and that all the greetings really mean a lot to me :).

driving

I have completed a milestone with my Driving this week :). I am now able to drive to work (3rd day today) and drive home (1st day yday). But I have yet to practice my parking, maybe this weekend, when we go out :).

Honestly, I had the chance to practice my parking skills last weekend, but being myself, I chickened out and opted to go for the easiest parking slot free at Bonifacio High Street. Haha.

I was also suppose to start driving to work last week, but again, I chickened out and had to prepare myself more - mentally, emotionally and all other aspects! So I only started Wednesday but I have been consistent about it, until today :).

Yesterday, on our way home, I made a mistake and didn't stop at the Magallanes intersection (merging traffic) from the service road. Good thing I didn't hit the taxi who had the right of way and had no intentions of giving way ;). Next time, I will be more careful on intersections and merging traffic. I had a good shout from MS and I wasn't talking all the way home since my nerves were a wreck and I had to concentrate on the road to be able to drive the rest of the way home.

I have to maximize practicing since I really have to take the exam already (& pass it!) for the release of my car. Hopefully by early April, I will already be driving my brand new car. I am so excited!!

It has been awhile

It has been awhile since I wrote something here. Funny thing is I frequently check this site as if somebody else will post something new for me to read *laughs*.

Anyway, nothing much for me to write today. I have been busy at work. I try to be more productive at work each day, finally having things to do on my own. So far, I am having fun working ;).

And I just wanted to post one of my Trisha's cutie shots.

I have been busy watching tv. Choosing that over blogging for the past few weeks ;).

So, that's it for now ;).

Trisha's Cogie (the 1st)

Trisha is very fond of Dogs. She got her very first stuffed dog on her 1st birthday as a gift from MTB (that's Ashley). Then she got Cogie(the 1st) as a Christmas present from her Tito, MAA. And when we came back from our Christmas vacation in Baguio, she got her third dog from Ninong Wa which she also named Cogie (the 2nd). So now, she has a total of three dogs in her playpen. And she really looks for all of them every single day. We also have to go out every weekend to dog watch in Bonifacio High Street. I plan to get her a real dog when she grows up, well, in time when we get a bigger house to keep her dog :).

For now, here's a picture of Cogie (the 1st) given by her Tito, MAA.

My Crazy Little Girl :)

My daughter is really funny. She has a very good sense of humor at her young age of 1 year and 3 mos. She knows how and when to be funny and really has the ability of making people laugh :). She makes funny faces when I take her pictures. She can put on a serious face one minute and be so funny the next. I so love my crazy little girl :).

31 and Overweight ;)

I celebrated my 31st birthday yesterday :). On the same day, I got my pre-employment medical exam results and it said - FIT with Advice! When I checked the details, it said that I am overweight by 3.5 KG from the maximum range of my ideal weight of 40.9 to 50 KG. And there was a doctor's recommendation for Weight Reduction through proper diet and regular exercise!

I was alarmed! I am getting old and unfit all in one day ;). So, immediately upon that realization, I got in touch with one of my new friends at work and asked her to be my health consultant for my weight reduction program. I also asked my hubby, MS, to run with me regularly for my cardio and help me watch what I eat when I am out of the office.

So, tomorrow, February 21, I have a schedule with our dietician to draft my proper diet and to get my measurements (current weight and body fat) as basis for my weight reduction program. I am excited. Not just to lose weight but to be fit once again :).

Good luck to me!

Potty Training Trisha

I have always worried about how to Potty Train Trisha. I would want to get rid of her diapers as early as possible. Partly to save on the cost of diapers (that's my practical side) but big part of it is because she's a girl and no diapers is a prettier sight (that's the kikay side of Mommy).

So last Christmas, when we were thinking about what present to get her. I thought about a Potty Trainer! I know I know, that's so corny of me and Daddy MS. But we got too many toys and too many clothes from her Birthday Party in October 2007 and we were expecting more toys and more clothes for Christmas presents. So we wanted to give her something that nobody will think of getting her as a Christmas present.

But wait till you see her Potty! It's no ordinary Potty, it sings to encourage her for potty training and it gives out stickers when it senses her *poop* dropping to the bowl. There is even a flushing water sound when you hit the flush :).

It's a nice product from Safety 1st. It resembles a real toilet bowl so closely that Trisha can associate her Potty with the real toilet bowl. It would be easier to shift her to the real one when the time comes.

As of today, she only used it once to make pupu. But she would usually sit on it and say "wiwi" but with her diaper on. Or when I know she's about to make pupu, I would make her sit on it while doing her thing even with her diaper on. I just want her to be able to identify doing the "wiwi" from doing the "pupu". And train her to tell us when she would do either of that. When she is able to tell us already, then we would be ready to remove her diaper whenever she needs to do either.

Hearts' Day in 08

I was surprised to receive flowers from MS yesterday. It was indeed a nice surprise. My husband doesn't really like giving flowers as presents, he has too many reasons to justify that. And somehow, I have already learned to appreciate his reasons :). So, you can just imagine my surprise to see a bouquet of purple tulips in my seat when he fetched me from work :).

More so, along with the tulips, there was a card of my favorite Me To You Bears.

The bear in the card is actually a magnet :). Which I placed on my Table Talker in the office.

Hon, thanks for the sweet Valentine's Day presents. Next time, ok lang walang flowers :). Diamonds na lang ;).

Trisha's Videos

I haven't been in the mood to blog lately. I can't get myself to write for some strange reason. When I get home from work, I just usually spend my time playing with Trisha until we go to bed.

I want to share Trisha's videos posted by MS in his multiply site. Check them out when you have time :).

Here's Trisha's famous kembot...

And lately, she has been wearing all my shoes non-stop, especially my high heeled shoes. See this.

Hope you enjoy the videos :). Good night.

3G ;)

That's 3 generations of us :). Lola, Me and Trisha.

I only dream of bringing up my daughter the way mom brought me up. My mom has the biggest influence in my life. She has made me the person that I am now.

I would want Trisha to say that about me someday ;).

I love you Mom, I love you Trisha :).

Say Cheese :)

Cute cute!

Trisha really loves the camera. She loves making faces. She loves to make us laugh.

And see how much she looks like her dad. Their smiles are so identical, to the littlest details of their smile marks... :)

I love :)

1. I love it when Trisha calls me "mOm-my". Although she said "daddy" first, one of her favorite words now is "mOm-my" (stressing out the letter O :D). She calls me even in her sleep and just as soon as she wakes up.

2. I love Zara Kids. I always make it a point to drop by Zara whenever we go to the mall. Not to shop for myself, but to check out their kids area for Trisha. To date, I already bought her 4 pairs of shoes, countless shirts and jeans. Even her 1st birthday dress was from Zara.

3. I love Avent. Yes, their feeding bottles are a bit too pricey, but they are really cholic-free :). Even their drinking cup is nice, absolutely spill-proof. Their microwavable bottle sterilizer is also my favorite, I can bring it anywhere and it's so convenient to use. I will also recommend their milk powder dispenser, it's not too trendy, but it's very functional.

4. I love Chicco shampoo, soap, powder and cologne. They smell heavenly on Trisha!

Ok now, enough of Trisha :D.

5. I love lemon-buttered shrimp! Try this dish out at Trinity (Macapagal Dampa).

6. I love White-Chocolate Mocha of Starbucks. This is my ever favorite drink. I also order that from Seattle's Best, but I love Starbucks' WCM more.

7. I love Fit N Right Four Seasons. This is now my staple drink, it's my new water!

8. I love Endearmints! This is the mint candy you get everytime you dine at Fish & Co. :) MS had to find somebody in their office to get me packs of this from South Africa since this is not sold locally. And I keep MY candies hidden, even MS has to ask from me if he wants one! *laughs* that's how much I love Endearmints ;).

9. I love keeping my nails short. I don't wear my nails long, simply because I am too clumsy to do so ;). I have wanted to grow my nails for that "sosyal" look, but it irritates me when they're not cut short. So I finally decided to stop trying to be "sosyal" and just keep them short.

10. I love putting nail polish on my toe nails :). Contrary to what I heard from some people, my toe nails look cleaner with nail polish. BUT, I choose the colors I use. I am picky with the colors I paint my nails with. I only use shades of brown :).

Daddy's Little Girl

These are great shots of my "mag-ama" :). I know Trisha looks so much like MS. I have accepted that already. I don't even contest it anymore ;). She's all MS, except for her eyes.

I think she has my mom's eyes. When I see them together, I also see a striking resemblance. And yes, now that I think about it, it's because of their eyes :).
